Privacy policy¶
This documentation is available at two addresses:
- tf3-docs.transportfever.net is the official site, on the web space of the Transport Fever Community (transportfever.net).
- tf3-docs.misterj.dev is the preview, where new content shows up first. It runs on my own server.
Both addresses serve the same pages. The only difference is who stores the server logs.
Controller¶
For the content of the documentation: Dennes Neumann, e-mail: private@misterj.dev.
On the official site, transportfever.net's legal notice and privacy policy apply as well (both in German). The web space is run by Steffen Ostermaier.
This is a private, non-commercial site. It has no user accounts, no comments, no advertising and no content embedded from other providers.
Hosting and server logs¶
For every request, the web server stores the usual data: date and time, IP address, requested address, HTTP status code, amount of data, browser identifier and, if the browser sends it, the page the request came from.
On the official site, the web space provider collects these logs. What happens to them and how long they are kept is in the "Server-Log-Dateien" section of transportfever.net's privacy policy.
On the preview, I store the logs myself, on a server I rent from Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). A protection program (fail2ban) reads them and blocks IP addresses that attack the server, for a limited time. I analyse them on the same server with GoAccess, and only I see the statistics. Access logs are deleted after about five weeks, error logs after about eleven. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is running the site securely and knowing how much it is used.
Cookies and tracking¶
The site itself sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics services from other providers. Fonts, scripts and the search load from the same server as the page, and the search runs entirely in your browser.
If you switch between the light and dark theme, your browser remembers the choice in its local storage. That information never leaves your device, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
Links to other sites¶
The skill download and the text files for AI agents come from the same server as the page, so they only produce the server logs described above.
Links to other sites, such as the official Urban Games wiki, open only when you click them. From then on, that site's privacy policy applies.
Your rights¶
You have the right to access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18) and to object to the processing (Art. 21). For the logs of the official site, contact transportfever.net (details in its legal notice); for the preview's logs and anything about the content, write to private@misterj.dev. The logs contain no names, so for a request about your data I need your IP address and the rough time of your visit.
You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
